Definition of a Content Management System
The Ability For Anyone To Alter Their Own Web Content
What is Content Management?
Content Management (or CMS) is the ability for a non-technical individual to change
the content or text of their web pages. The ability to do this greatly improves
the overall flexibility and timeliness of a company or individual's web site. For
example, if a company's current events or news have changed, that company would
usually have to contact their web developer, put in a request for a change and then
wait for their changes to actually be implemented. This can be very costly and time
consuming. A Content Management System cuts out the middle man and allows a user
or company to alter their website when they want and how they want.
Unfortunately, many Content Management Systems are very expensive and difficult
to implement. It may take days to install a CMS system on a web server and to integrate
all the website pages. This is where CMoSi comes in. CMoSi will run on any server
with any type of site. It will work with php as well as .NET. It will work on a
Linux server or on a Windows server. With CMoSi you can get started right away!
There is NO overhead. You just have to copy a string of code (provided by CMoSi)
onto your web page and the content magically appears on your page!
